Merge tag 'char-misc-4.20-rc1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/char-misc
Pull char/misc driver updates from Greg KH:
"Here is the big set of char/misc patches for 4.20-rc1.
Loads of things here, we have new code in all of these driver
subsystems:
- fpga
- stm
- extcon
- nvmem
- eeprom
- hyper-v
- gsmi
- coresight
- thunderbolt
- vmw_balloon
- goldfish
- soundwire
along with lots of fixes and minor changes to other small drivers.
All of these have been in linux-next for a while with no reported
issues"

When + specified, only a driver with a name matching the value written + to driver_override will have an opportunity to bind to the + device. The override is specified by writing a string to the + driver_override file (echo uio_hv_generic > driver_override) and + may be cleared with an empty string (echo > driver_override). + This returns the device to standard matching rules binding. + Writing to driver_override does not automatically unbind the + device from its current driver or make any attempt to + automatically load the specified driver.
