* dt-bindings: usb: Convert DWC2 bindings to json-schemaBenjamin Gaignard2020-01-081-64/+0
| | | | | | | | | | Convert DWC2 bindings to DT schema format using json-schema. DWC2 is widely use but a couple of compatibles and properties (vusb_d-supply,vusb_a-supply) were missing in dwc2.txt, the patch add them. * dt-bindings: usb: dwc2: Document quirk to reset PHY upon wakeupDouglas Anderson2019-05-031-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | On Rockchip rk3288 there's a hardware quirk where we need to assert the reset signal to the PHY when we get a remote wakeup on one of the two ports. Document this quirk in the bindings. * dt-bindings: usb: dwc2: document the vbus-supply propertyMartin Blumenstingl2019-05-031-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Various boards have an external VBUS supply regulator. This regulator depends on the current mode of the controller which is defined as: - dr_mode set to either "host" or "peripheral" (fixed value) - dr_mode set to "otg", based on the OTG status the dwc2 controller internally switches between "host" and "peripheral" mode (selection happens at runtime) Based on the current mode the regulator has to be enabled or disabled: - host: provide power to the connected USB device, thus the regulator has to be enabled - peripheral: the host device to which the controller is connected provides power, thus the regulator has to be disabled Add the dt-bindings documentation for this property so .dts authors know that this property exists and how it behaves. | | | | | | | | | | | USB support in the Meson8 SoCs is provided by a DWC2 controller which works with the same settings as Meson8b and GXBB. * usb: dwc2: add amcc,dwc-otg supportChristian Lamparter2016-11-181-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds support for the "amcc,usb-otg" device which is found in the PowerPC Canyonlands' dts. The device definition was added by: commit c89b3458d8cc ("powerpc/44x: Add USB DWC DTS entry to Canyonlands board") but without any driver support as the dwc2 driver wasn't available at that time. Note: The system can't use the generic "snps,dwc2" compatible because of the special ahbcfg configuration. The default GAHBCFG_HBSTLEN_INCR4 of snps,dwc2 can cause a system hang when the USB and SATA is used concurrently. This includes the newly added Nextthing GR8 platform, which is derived from sun5i/A13. - Some integrator (arm32) changes rely on clk driver changes. - A single patch for lpc32xx has no such dependency but wasn't added until just before the merge window" * tag 'armsoc-late' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (99 commits) ARM: dts: lpc32xx: add device node for IRAM on-chip memory ARM: dts: sun8i: Add accelerometer to polaroid-mid2407pxe03 ARM: dts: sun8i: enable UART1 for iNet D978 Rev2 board ARM: dts: sun8i: add pinmux for UART1 at PG dts: sun8i-h3: add I2C0-2 peripherals to H3 SOC dts: sun8i-h3: add pinmux definitions for I2C0-2 dts: sun8i-h3: associate exposed UARTs on Orange Pi Boards dts: sun8i-h3: split off RTS/CTS for UART1 in seperate pinmux dts: sun8i-h3: add pinmux definitions for UART2-3 ARM: dts: sun9i: a80-optimus: Disable EHCI1 ARM: dts: sun9i: cubieboard4: Add AXP806 PMIC device node and regulators ARM: dts: sun9i: a80-optimus: Add AXP806 PMIC device node and regulators ARM: dts: sun9i: cubieboard4: Declare AXP809 SW regulator as unused ARM: dts: sun9i: a80-optimus: Declare AXP809 SW regulator as unused ARM: dts: sun8i: Add touchscreen node for sun8i-a33-ga10h ARM: dts: sun8i: Add touchscreen node for sun8i-a23-polaroid-mid2809pxe04 ARM: dts: sun8i: Add touchscreen node for sun8i-a23-polaroid-mid2407pxe03 ARM: dts: sun8i: Add touchscreen node for sun8i-a23-inet86dz ARM: dts: sun8i: Add touchscreen node for sun8i-a23-gt90h ARM64: dts: meson-gxbb-vega-s95: Enable USB Nodes ...

* dt: bindings: dwc2: fix required value for the phy-names propertyMatt Porter2014-05-281-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | "7408484 usb: gadget: s3c-hsotg: enable generic phy support" introduces generic phy support to the dwc2.txt binding and the s3c-hsotg driver which implements support for the binding. The binding documentation incorrectly states that the phy-names property will be "device". The binding example, driver, and one dts user all implement the phy-names property as requiring "usb2-phy". Fix the dwc2.txt binding documentation to correctly specify "usb2-phy" as the appropriate value for phy-names.
